Job Title: Survey CAD Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with senior Surveyors, other Land Surveyors, clients, municipalities, and other employees regarding project scheduling, conflicts, milestones, and completion. You will perform in-house quality review of survey field activities, legal descriptions, maps, aerial photographs, calculations, and other diverse types of project deliverables. Additionally, you will perform calculations to determine traverse closures, traverse adjustments, field note reductions, boundary analysis, sketch and descriptions, construction calculations, and area calculations utilizing Civil 3D and Trimble software. You will also assist field crews with prep and calculations for survey work done in the field and perform detailed property research from city, county, and state records. This role includes other surveying-related duties as required.

Hard Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Civil3D or AutoCAD
• Working with survey data, drawing layers, point formats, field-to-finish codes, layer and points styles, data management, and surface modeling
• Experience as a survey CAD technician reducing survey field data (Trimble Business Center preferred)
• Drafting projects in Civil3D such as topographic, boundary, construction layout, and as-built surveys

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor
• Ability to perform detailed property research
• Excellent coordination and collaboration skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hanahan, South Carolina.

Work Environment

We offer a full-time position in a family-oriented office located in Hanahan, SC. Our workweek runs from Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, however we are flexible as long as you can commit to a full 40-hour week. We pride ourselves on being very family-focused and oriented.
